UBS Library

The Union Biblical Seminary library is one of the most distinguished theological libraries in south-east Asia.

The UBS Library offers a variety of resources and services to meet the teaching and learning needs of the seminary.

The UBS Library professionally functions with the continued dedication of staff in sharing their passion for their subjects, their expertise that enables all parts of the Library to function, and their commitment to upholding high standards of service to all who visit us or use our services.

The collection contains approximately 40,000 circulating volumes, 300 periodical titles, as well as an up-to-day reference collection. It is especially strong in the areas of biblical studies, spirituality, church history and the social aspects of Christianity. The library holds 4,000+ titles of an outstanding collection of history of mission work in India and Indian Christian theology & theologians. Which includes rare manuscripts and documents of Pandita Ramabai (Christian Indian social reformer) and Rev. Narayan Waman Tilak (Marathi poet and famous convert to Christianity)

Research & Resource Center: The UBS Library has a state-of-the-art reading facilities for the researchers. Researchers are provided with personal study carrel.

The UBS library has subscribed to ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials which is premier index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays - including more than 620,000 article citations from more than 1,746 journals, 250,000+ essay citations, 570,000+ book review citations.
